The exquisitely beautiful and very human drama SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN, WINTER… AND SPRING, starring director Kim Ki-duk, is entirely set on and around a tree-lined lake where a tiny Buddhist monastery floats on a raft amidst a breath-taking landscape. The film is divided into five segments with each season representing a stage in a man’s life.

With extraordinary attention to visual details, such as using a different animal (dog, rooster, cat, snake) as a motif for each section, writer/director/editor Kim Ki-duk has crafted a totally original yet universal story about the human spirit, moving from Innocence, through Love and Evil, to Enlightenment and finally Rebirth.

Pilgrimage to Bhutan and Nepal from August 6^th to 30^th, 2010

Drukpa Plouray, the European headquarters of the Drukpa lineage, is organising a pilgrimage to Bhutan and Nepal with the Venerable Drubpon Tenzin Ngawang, from August 6^th to 30^th this year.

His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa places great importance on pilgrimages as being a source of great merit and purification and has already initiated and led many pilgrimages, including two walking pilgrimages.

The Drukpa lineage has been flourishing in Bhutan for several centuries and has been home to a great number of masters. It is indeed to privilege to visit Bhutan in the presence of Drubpon Ngawang, himself a Bhutanese, and to have access to the monasteries and sacred places, which are normally barred to tourists.

The Venerable Drubpön Ngawang will be visiting the London centre from Friday April 30th to Sunday May 2nd. The Venerable Drubpön Ngawang has been His Holiness The Gyalwang Drukpa’s representative in Europe for over 20 years now. Those of us who have had the good fortune to meet him will already appreciate his vast understanding and experiential knowledge of the dharma, concealed behind his open and unassuming manner. He is indeed a true spiritual friend.

The Venerable Drubpön Ngawang will be teaching on Guru Yoga as well as leading Guru Yoga practice.
