Globalisation, the development of the virtual world, instant and plentiful methods of communication have paradoxically isolated us from each other and call for more humanisation.

One needs to develop benevolence towards oneself and others, to be able to listen to, and be open to others. Clear understanding is required for empathy and compassion to exist.

Born in Ladakh in 1986, His Eminence Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche was recognised by the Dalai Lama and the Gyalwang Drukpa as the reincarnation of the first Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche - a prominent figure of the Drukpa Lineage. After his exile in India, he ensured the continuity and legacy of the teaching of this particular School of Tibetan buddhism, establishing one of its main monasteries, Druk Thubten Sangag Choeling, in Darjeeling, India.

His Eminence Thuksey Rinpoche spent most of his childhood in this monastery before continuing his education at the prestigious University of Tango, Bhutan, for 9 years. An accomplished meditation master, His Eminence has been given many responsibilities, including the the management of the monastery of Darjeeling and the Druk White Lotus School situated in Ladakh as well as the Drukpa centres of buddhist studies and meditation in Europe.

 His Eminence is part of the young generation of Drukpa spiritual masters who bring a contemporary and modern approach of Buddhism and spirituality.
